Huge Land in Pasni Allotted for Shipyards Construction – Gwadar Development Update

Government of Balochistan has allotted 750 acres of land for construction of shipyard in Pasni City of Gwadar Disctrict. Construction of shipyard at such huge area will create over 10,000 jobs for locals of Gwadar district. Land for this development is been allotted to the Ministry of Defence Production.

Balochistan to give 750 Acres of Land in Pasni for Shipyards Construction

On Friday Jan 18, Balochistan cabinet approved the allotment of 750 Acres of land to the Ministry of Defence Production for shipyard’s construction in Pasni city of Gwadar District. The land for the construction of shipyard would be allotted to the said ministry on the basis of 30% equity while the provincial share will be 20%-30% in the project.

The development of shipyard in Pasni would create employments and spokesperson of Balochistan Government Liaquat Ali Shahwani expressed optimism over this development.

“Around 10,000 jobs will be created in the shipyard, which would help in providing jobs to Balochistan’s youth.”

Since Gwadar Port has Expedited its Services and in upcoming days trade activities are anticipated to escalate further, government is showing keen urgency about the early development of region equipping it with all living and working necessities.

PM Khan Shots Down CPEC Debt Trap Speculations – Latest Update

While expressing his views at World Economic Forum 2020, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan said that Pakistan is grateful to China for saving the country while it’s undergoing with an economic crisis.

Responding to the CPEC a debt trap speculations, Prime Minister mentioned that CPEC only accounts five to six per cent of Pakistan’s total foreign debt. It is baseless to call CPEC a debt trap because the foreign investors are attracted towards Pakistan after China launched its investment in CPEC linked projects. PM further highlighted that special concessions are offered to the investors and industries under the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) of CPEC.
