During his present tour to China, PM Imran Khan emphasized CPEC potential for investments and businesses. PM ensured facilitating Chinese investors providing ease of doing business in Pakistan under CPEC Authority and SEZs. He visited China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) at Beijing.
CPEC Authority to Work from PM Office
While talking to Chinese Enterprises at CCPIT, PM Imran Khan talked to Chairperson CCPIT Ms Gao Yan and Chinese Enterprises. He ensured investors about the business-friendly atmosphere that Government is determined to create via Special Economic Zones. PM Khan said that Pakistan is following China’s footprints in forming SEZs and allowing businesses to flourish and produce profit.
CPEC Authority is established to observe all ministries and working entities relevant to CPEC Projects for the speedy completion of CPEC. He expressed in his talk to enterprises that from now CPEC Authority will work from Prime Minister’s Office. PM Khan also invited investors to come and join the opportunities that Second Phase of CPEC is bringing to Pakistan and specifically in Gwadar.
Investment Potential in CPEC Phase II
While shedding light on the investment potential of CPEC, PM Imran Khan said it’s the right time to invest in Pakistan. He said that in CPEC Phase II, Pakistan will be looking forward to Chinese Investors in sectors including textile, manufacturing, IT and financial services, physical and technological logistics, food processing and agriculture, tourism and hospitality.
Construing the huge potential in fields of real estate, oil and gas, coal and gold, PM Khan welcomed Chinese investors of relevant sectors. PM also ensured the safety of Chinese workers in Pakistan saying that a separate security force has been established to protect Chinese workers.
Prime Minister also expressed government’s accomplishments related Gwadar Port, Gwadar Free Zone, Gwadar International Airport, Tax Concessions and Smart Port City Master plan.
